Example - Calculate Crankcase Compression Ratio
For an engine with a cylinder capacity of 125 CC and a crankcase volume of 625 CC ( measured at TDC ). Enter this data into the Crankcase Compression Ratio Programme as shown. The resultant calculated crankcase compression ratio is calculated as 1.25.

Example - Calculate Required Crankcase Volume
Suppose you have an engine of 125 CC cylinder capacity for which you wish to calculate the required crankcase volume ( @TDC ) to give a crankcase compression ratio of 1.32. First select the Crankcase Volume radio button. Now enter the values of 125 for Cylinder Capacity and 1.32 for Crankcase Compression Ratio. The resultant calculated crankcase volume is 515.62 CC.
